2021年12月14日，中国国际广播电台英语环球广播（又称China Plus Radio）更名为CGTN Radio。
频率宣传由“Connecting with China and the World”改为“Hear the difference”，与CGTN电视频道宣传“See the difference”相呼应。

2022年1月17日，CGTN Radio在其官网发布公告，
自本日起官网将由http://chinaplus.cri.cn/ ，迁移至https://radio.cgtn.com/ ，旧网站停止更新。

CRI在其英语广播官网公开了CGTN Radio（北京AM846）的节目单：
与更名前相比较，CGTN Radio部分时段增加CGTN电视频道节目。
